A huge crowd converged on Denmark’s McLean Park for the climax of the 2021 Great Southern Football League season on Sunday. The grand finals were dominated by Royals and Railways football clubs, who finished the day with two premierships each. But it was Railways who claimed the league’s top honour, upsetting minor premiers Royals to win the grand final 17.10 (112) to 12.12 (84). The celebrations spilled on to the ground at the final siren after the Tigers thwarted their rivals’ bid for a three-peat.
