IN PICTURES: Exhibition displaying inmate artwork from Albany Regional Prison opens at Vancouver Art Centre

An exhibition displaying detailed and vibrant artwork by inmates at Albany Regional Prison opened on Thursday afternoon, with more than 60 people attending the opening at Vancouver Arts Centre. Scenes painted in acrylic on canvas range from depictions of the Great Southern landscape to sharks in a fountain. The exhibition was held as part of the Department of Justice’s Justice and Equity Through Art program, designed to contribute to the rehabilitation and education of prisoners. The exhibition runs from until November 8 at Vancouver Arts Centre.
