Hydro-zorbers have a ball on epic track

Zooming down a hill inside a giant inflatable ball filled with water might not be everyone’s cup of tea but it could be something to add to your bucket list.

It is called hydro-zorbing — and the longest track in the world can be found at the family-owned and operated Denmark Thrills Adventure Park.

Park owner Amelia Monaghan said they were proud to be the home of the world’s longest track — a 550m winding course overlooking stunning Mt Shadforth.

“We opened the track last month. It was the first thing that we built and constructed here three-and-a-half years ago but we had to wait for the grass to grow,” she said. “We couldn’t be happier with how it flows, it feels great that we are the longest hydro-zorbing track in the world, right here in Denmark.”

Their track will be extended to 600m before the summer, smashing the record books, according to Mrs Monaghan.

“The Guinness World Record for the longest distance ever travelled in a hydro-zorb ball is 570m, so we are going to smash that and have an event in the next summer,” she said.

She described hydro-zorbing as a “really long hydro slide inside a giant ball”.

“Lay back, relax and just enjoy the ride,” she said.

“We have had people from all over the world come and try it.”
