Middleton Beach Board Walk assault: Hunt on for man after woman grabbed on Albany boardwalk
Albany police are seeking a man in his 20s who grabbed a woman from behind while she was on the Middleton Beach Board Walk on Thursday evening.
Detectives are appealing for information regarding the incident that happened at about 7.20pm on February 1.
A woman in her 20s was walking at about the halfway point of the popular spot that overlooks King George Sound when a man appeared from behind and grabbed her forcefully around the waist.
The woman was able to push him off. The man fled and the victim then called for help.
Detectives want to hear from anyone who observed anything suspicious, or saw a male in his 20s around Middleton Beach or on the boardwalk on Thursday evening.
Police say the man they wish to speak to is Caucasian with tanned skin, light brown shoulder-length hair and a scruffy appearance.
He was wearing a dark hooded jumper and track pants.
