Hug earns big prize

Would you hug a stranger for a chance at winning $10,000?

That is exactly how Albany local Melanie West won the top prize in the State-wide Hit FM competition.

Hit FM hosts Jesse and Juelz drove around the State asking the public to give them a hug for a shot at the prize money.

She said she was leaving the gym when she saw the radio hosts during their visit to Albany.

“I was with a friend and thought, why not?” she said.

“I was shocked when I was named as the winner, I really didn’t expect that.”

The winning cheque was presented to her at the Albany Bendigo Bank last week.”
