Fresh faces to push region’s tourism

The Amazing South Coast has welcomed four new members to its board, including 2019 Great Southern Business Leader of the Year Susan McCabe.

Ms McCabe, the founder of Busy Blue Bus, has joined the board along with former Denmark Chamber of Commerce chief executive Liz Jack, Down Under Discoveries owner Chelle Fisher and Mt Barker business owner John Fletcher.

The Amazing South Coast chief executive Peter Grigg welcomed the fresh faces to the table this week.

“The quality of the eight nominations was extremely high — all have considerable experience, length of time and investment within the industry,” he said.

Mr Grigg said the board was dedicated to progressing the efforts and initiatives instigated by the outgoing board members, focusing on Albany, Denmark and Mt Barker.

“A principal task is to continue to build upon the reputation of the region as a ‘must-see destination’ within WA,” he said.
