Fast times set pace for Easter showdown

Albany Advertiser

Tayissa Condren was on scintillating form for a club race day at Apex Drive last Sunday as the Albany Sopabox Club prepares for the 55th Australian National Soapbox Championships in April.

Condren won all her heats in the junior racing, with Noah and Ryder Coleman chasing.

With seven heats across the day, all times recorded contribute to the group in which each driver will compete at the annual national event hosted by the ASC on Easter Saturday.

In the senior racing, Sharr Butler was the fastest on the day with a time of 42.87sec. with Ellie Senior second in 43.04 and Daisy Senior third in 43.20.

Club president Larry Puls said it was a successful day.

“It was a good day and the times were quite fast,” he said.

“It was quite warm and there was low wind so that helped with the juniors getting off the mark.”
