Polonia have completed an outstanding league season, finishing with 12 victories as they beat Albany Rovers in the final round of the Great Southern Soccer Association men’s premier league season on Saturday evening.

Having already secured their first league title since 2015 last month, Polonia won their round 16 clash in comfortable fashion as they slotted four goals past the Rovers defence.

The 4-1 victory allowed Polonia to finish eight points clear on top of the final league standings, with a record of 12 wins, one draw and three losses.

Phoenix scored a goal in each half as they confirmed their status as league runners-up, beating Caledonians 2-0 on the opposite pitch.

Nine league wins was a decent return for Phoenix while a frustrating league campaign came to an end for 2018 champions Caledonians who were left to rue a number of narrow defeats and four draws.
