Cops call for info on Jacup fatality

Hopetoun Police have reached out to the public for information regarding a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred in December last year.

At around 1pm on Thursday December 22, a 79 year old man who had recently arrived in Western Australia was riding a red Yamaha motorcycle east along the South Coast Highway when he lost control approximately 1.8km west of Jacup South Road.

The ma received critical injuries and was taken to the Jerramungup Nursing Post where he later died.

Hopetoun Police would like to speak to anyone who may have stopped to assist the rider or who may have seen the Yamaha motorcycle prior to the crash.
