The community has just more than two weeks left to have its say on the future of hireable e-scooters in Albany.

A survey that has been running on the City of Albany website since mid-November will come to a close on February 1.

The short survey asks respondents if they have used the e-scooters and whether they have seen them used inappropriately, as well as what they think about their suitability for Albany and their value to its transport network.

The results of the survey will help shape a recommendation for councillors to consider when determining whether to extend the operation licenses of Beam Mobility and Bird Rides at March’s ordinary council meeting.

An 18-month trial period for the hireable e-scooters is scheduled to close at the end of April after the initial 12-month trial period was extended by six months.
