Claremont Football Club set to host two community events as part of their trip to the Great Southern
The Claremont Football Club will run several events as part of its visit to the Great Southern this week, headlined by a WAFL colts fixture against West Perth on Saturday.
On Thursday, Claremont will hold their annual school holiday masterclass for Year 6-9 boys and girls from 9am-2pm at Retravision Stadium.
Tigers colts coach Ashley Clancy and former Tigers development coach and now Richmond recruiter Sam Cousens will run the clinic.
The event costs $90 per child including lunch and a Claremont water bottle and cap.
On Friday, a coaching night will be run at Retravision Stadium by Clancy, with an emphasis on local coaches from the Great Southern Football League and the Southern Districts Junior Football Association to attend.
Clancy said he is excited for both events. “We’re looking forward to them, I’m a primary school teacher by trade and it was my job for a while doing all the footy clinics so I get a real kick out of it,” he said.
“It will be great to get involved in the community in that way.”
