Local builders downed tools in favour of picking up their golf clubs for the annual Master Builders Association Great Southern Branch golf day on Friday afternoon.

Ten teams of four from nine different companies took part in the ambrose competition at Grove Park Golf Links in what has become a yearly get-together for those working in the region’s building industry.

MBA Great Southern regional manager Linda Gibbs said everyone involved always came together to have fun and it was a great afternoon.

“It’s a day of getting the industry together to network, they are so busy most of the time it’s a great chance to just take their teams away from the job for a bit of stress relief and catch up with friends in the industry,” she said.

Red Dog Carpentry came out on top in the competition, which was played in a very social atmosphere.
