Albany’s Big 4 Middleton Beach Holiday Park has taken out multiple awards in the nationwide Big 4 annual awards.

The local park won the People’s Choice Award for Premier Park and also received the second-highest rating by customers.

The park was named among the best out of 180 parks, competing against 15 per cent of the total which are also premier parks.

Office manager Sam Horler also took out the Big 4 staff member of the year award.

Mr Horler said owners Trish and Simon Shuttleworth put a lot of time and effort into making sure standards were high and nominated him for the award.

“We have a really close-knit team and work together really well,” he said.

“We take pride in our work so that every guest has a holiday they can remember for the rest of their life.

“Trish and Simon have a real focus on making memories for families and future generations.”

Mr Horler has been working at the tourist hotspot for seven years and began as reception staff member before taking over his managerial role.

“I find the guests here are always happy and everyone who comes in is smiling.

“The location is amazing and everyone loves a beach holiday.

“You’d be surprised how many locals we get stay here — it feels like a retreat within Albany.”
