Albany man dead after motorbike crash
A 43-year-old Albany man has died after his motorcycle hit a tree in Kalgan yesterday afternoon.
Police say the man was riding on Dempster Road around 4pm when he failed to negotiate a bend in the road and hit a tree.
Great Southern police district Superintendent Dominic Wood said the death was a tragedy for the community.
“It’s too early to say what caused him to come off the road and the cause of this accident,” he said.
“It’s always very very sad to get these calls.
“Just one single fatal crash like this is a tragedy for the family, the community, officers who have to attend and also the emergency services.”
Major Crash officers are investigating the scene.
More to come.
