Albany couple raise money for Cystic Fibrosis WA with stunning Christmas light display

The sparkle of 420,000 Christmas lights in Gledhow is spreading festive cheer all over Albany this holiday season.

Walking through fairy-light archways with carols and children’s laughter filling the air, it is hard not to get into the Christmas spirit.

From a 3m ‘Elvis’ the reindeer, flashing Santas and stunning installations of international landmarks, the colossal Christmas lights display on Mueller Street is a must-see.

Gledhow couple Jeremy and Lorraine Stevenson have turned their backyard into an interactive display which is open from 7pm to 10pm every night until December 29.

Ms Stevenson said it took three people up to eight weeks to assemble the display of 420,000 Christmas lights.

They are doing it raise money for Cystic Fibrosis WA in support of their five-year-old granddaughter Amelia, who has the condition.

This year, they are hoping to raise $50,000 for CFWA.

The Extra understands Father Christmas might pay the Stevensons a visit from 7.15pm on Saturday night.
