Albany and Districts Cricket Association’s first XI suffered a convincing loss in their first game at the annual junior country week tournament in Perth.

The ADCA under-16s side were bowled out for 104 against Geraldton Junior Cricket Association, chasing 163 to win.

Jed Schwarzbach was in control of the innings early on, making 33, but his team had collapsed, losing 4-4 and they fell well short in the end.

Captain Ryley Valli made 19 at the top of the order and was the only other batsman to reach double figures.

Schwarzbach put on a 26-run partnership with Billy O’Meara before the latter was run out for six.
