From the eagerly-awaited Suits: LA, to Jacob Elordi’s star-turn in The Narrow Road To The Deep North and the TV re-imagining of the Belle Gibson scandal in Apple Cider Vinegar, there is plenty of top-shelf new TV on the way in 2025. Here are five to put on your must-binge list for next year.

Suits: LA (TBC, Seven and 7Plus)

It was a hit with viewers when it first debuted in 2011, launching the career of a certain Duchess-to-be in the process. Later, Suits scored legions of new fans when it landed on Netflix, its new-found popularity spawning this spin-off series. It’s set — yep, you guessed it — in Los Angeles, and focuses on a new crop of lawyers led by Stephen Amell (Arrow, Heels) playing a former federal prosecutor from New York who has relocated to LA. In news sure to please fans, Gabriel Macht will reprise his role as Harvey Specter for a three-episode arc.

The Narrow Road To The Deep North (TBC, Prime Video)

Fresh from his star-turn in Saltburn, Aussie-born, US-based Jacob Elordi returned to Australia and signed on to play the lead in this five-part drama, based on Richard Flanagan’s Booker Prize-winning novel. Spanning multiple time periods, it tells the story of decorated war hero and surgeon Lieutenant-Colonel Dorrigo Evans, whose life is altered after an all-too-brief love affair with a woman named Amy (played by Odessa Young), whom he meets in his youth. This is getting lots of early buzz — start getting excited.

The White Lotus breakout star Leo Woodall plays brilliant young maths postgraduate Edward Brooks in this eight-part series. He’s on the verge of a major discovery, which if it goes ahead, could see him gain control of every computer in the world. But there are people who don’t want his idea to get off the ground, and it’s up to National Security Agency operative Taylah Sanders (Quintessa Swindell) to watch out for him. Together they “start to unravel the troubling conspiracy Edward is at the heart of”. Sign us up!

A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms (late 2025, Binge)

Wait, there’s ANOTHER Game Of Thrones prequel? There sure is — this one is based on George R.R. Martin’s Tales Of Dunk And Egg novellas. The series follows Ser Duncan the Tall (Peter Claffey) and Aegon Targaryen (Dexter Sol Ansell) and they head off on adventures across Westeros. Good news for fans: early reports are that Martin is pleased with how everything’s looking, telling Screen Rant the characters “look like they walked out of the pages of my book”.

Apple Cider Vinegar (TBA, Netflix)

Inspired by the book The Woman Who Fooled The World by journalists Beau Donelly and Nick Toscano, this tells the reimagined story of wellness scammer Belle Gibson, who falsely claimed to have cured her cancer through healthy eating. This series focuses on two young women who “set out to cure their life-threatening illnesses through health and wellness, influencing their global online communities along the way”. Just like in Gibson’s case — it’s all a lie. Stars Kaitlyn Dever, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Aisha Dee and Mark Coles Smith.

Bonus five for 2025

Top End Bub (TBA, Prime Video): This is the TV follow-up to Miranda Tapsell’s hit film, Top End Wedding. She co-stars again with Gwilym Lee, who returns as her new hubby.

The Last Anniversary (TBA, Binge): This series, based on the book by Liane Moriarty and with Nicole Kidman listed as an executive producer, sees Teresa Palmer star alongside Miranda Richardson and Danielle Macdonald.

Invisible Boys (TBA, Stan): Filmed in Geraldton earlier this year and based on the novel by Holden Sheppard, this is the story of a group of gay teens living in a small coastal town.

Mix Tape (TBA, Binge) This Irish-Australian miniseries billed as a “classic all-encompassing romance set to a banging nostalgic soundtrack” stars Teresa Palmer (again!) and Jim Sturgess, and is adapted from the much-loved novel by Jane Sanderson.

Playing Gracie Darling (TBA, Paramount Plus): This murder mystery looks at the disappearance of a woman during a seance some 27 years earlier. It stars Morgana O’Reilly, who will soon be seen in season three of The White Lotus.

Optics (TBA, ABC): Comedians Vic Zerbst and Jenna Owen (Nugget Is Dead: A Christmas Story) star in this series, which they created with The Chaser’s Charles Firth, as two young PR consultants working at a big firm.
