UPDATE: Hugely popular Perth indie rockers Spacey Jane quickly sold out all bar two shows on their 15-date national tour for their acclaimed debut album, Sunlight, when tickets went on sale on Wednesday morning.

The band have added four more dates, including a second show at the Fremantle Arts Centre.

The now 18-date tour — which kicks off in Melbourne on March 3 and includes WA shows at the Fremantle Arts Centre on April 9 and 10 and Mandurah Performing Arts Centre on May 14 — has serious momentum thanks to the Spaceys starring in last month’s Triple J Hottest 100.

Their ballad Booster Seat was only narrowly beaten to top spot by English pop act Glass Animals’ Heat Waves and was one of four songs the quartet landed in the annual countdown.

Last Friday, Spacey Jane, covered the Beatles’ classic Here Comes the Sun for Triple J’s Like a Version, further cementing their status as one of the biggest bands in the land.

Spacey Jane’s Sunlight album was a critically-acclaimed hit.

While they have completed regional tours in WA as well as three dates in South Australia last week, their big album tour was supposed to happen around the release of Sunlight in June last year.

“We’re so excited to finally have the opportunity to play these songs on the road,” the band, consisting of bassist Peppa Lane, singer/guitarist Caleb Harper, drummer Kieran Lama and guitarist Ashton Le Cornu said.

“It’s been a long time since we’ve managed to tour Australia and we’re all raring to go.

“These will be our biggest shows to date, in venues we’ve only dreamt of playing.

“See you out there.”

Tickets go on sale Wednesday at 7am.
