Mt Barker Community College student, Krystal Thiele has had a passion for singing her whole life.

The talented young singer said she was brought up with music in her family.

“I have been singing all my life but started focusing on it around two years ago. I always used to just mess around and sing and dance, but now that I know I have a voice I actually sing properly,” she said.

“My family really noticed that I have something a little more than just singing in the shower and one day I hope to be really well known by everyone.”

“My mum’s side of the family is very musical. My pop records music and writes his own songs and also teaches others and records others in his own studio.”

Krystal said her musical inspirations are everything from Michael Jackson, Beyonce and Celine Dion, adding her new favourite artist is Samantha Harvey.

While only doing cover videos on Facebook, Krystal said she hopes to one say start to write her own music.

“I would like to someday write my own songs, and perform gigs; mum is trying to get me to go to karaoke nights to start me off in the public but I am too shy,” she said.

“I love to just mess around with my singing by going live on Facebook and just finding songs to just sing. My mum is my biggest supporter in my music, I love her help.”

Krystal said she enjoyed singing, adding that one day she hoped to show people her talent and passion for music through social media.

“I think that social media has definitely spread my name around, I know that a lot of people have seen my videos and commented and liked so that makes me keep going because I know that people are enjoying my videos,” she said.
